I am extremely excited to announce the release of my new book, “60 Atonal Etudes for the Young Cellist.” I was inspired to compose these 60 progressive studies after working through the classic “60 Etudes for the Young Cellist” by Louis Feuillard. Over the past several months, I have been working through these works publicly on Instagram, and have found them to be incredibly useful. My hope is that this new volume provides all the pedagogical value and ease of use of the original Feuillard, but also establishes a foundation for the student in contemporary musical languages and advanced ear training.

The 60 etudes in this volume begin with the most basic finger and bow exercises, and conclude with etudes that are intended to be preparatory studies for major 20th century works in the violoncello repertoire. Many of the etudes incorporate technical ideas that I personally use every day in my warmups.

Thank you for your interest!
